This past weekend’s tragedy caused feelings of anger to sadness and back to anger.

Where’s My Gun?

Four dead in Ohio, Orlando forty-nine,

You have your rights my friend, and well I have mine.

It’s just the difference, in how we read.

The NRA can help you, while victims bleed.

Whether you’re right or left or laissez-faire.

It doesn’t really matter. Bullets don’t care.

Debates go on forever, but no one acts.

Embrace interpretation, but not the facts.

Chorus

Let’s all go to a movie, where’s my gun?

The children in their school, where’s my gun?

It’s time to go to work and it’s time to go to church.

Tonight I feel like dancing, where’s my gun?

Don’t give me regulations, give me my gun.

Lets celebrate our freedom, isn’t this fun?

Agree to disagree, we’ll never bend,

Our constitution, please don’t amend.

Hold your opinions . I have my rights.

I have my gun collection. sleep well at nights.

Our brilliant founding fathers, they wrote the law.

We must protect their vision, they never saw!

Chorus

Let’s all go to a movie, where’s my gun?

The children in their school, where’s my gun?

It’s time to go to work and it’s time to go to church.

Tonight I feel like dancing, where’s my gun?

Bridge:

It’s my right, my right to fight, darling, why must we trifle?

Bayonet to cannon balls, to my automatic rifle.

My Tuesday visits to the shooting range.

Don’t blame me for the others. Don’t make me change.

Guns don’t kill people. People kill.

You want to change my world, you never will!

Chorus

Let’s all go to a movie, where’s my gun?

The children in their school, where’s my gun?

It’s time to go to work and it’s time to go to church.

Tonight I feel like dancing, where’s my gun?

  1. Great job on this Dennis. People with perfect vision seem blind, which just suggests this has nothing to do with what we see anymore. The US is an outrage. This will end in a Civil war and I sure as hell hope I or anyone close to me aren’t there when the real hell breaks loose. I read today a paper on the top 10 reasons guns should not be controlled in America on one of my investment newsletters. Heaven help them. We can only hope that the sane Americans don’t become desensitized to it all, although I get the feeling from my US friends that they believe this is unfix able. This just sad beyond description.
